This day i walked around the campus.
we got to play with college computers for the first time – they are so mid-range that you cant tell (if that means anything), and we each get 700mb of space, i think thats very… stupid, this is meant to be university, where people come to learn. how are you supposed to learn with only 700mb’s of space, even the Victorians of a hundred years ago would have struggled with a mere 700 megs, and they were clever(ish).
There was meant to be a moon party later that day, no wait, there was a moon party, i just ended up not going. it was supposed to be a celebration of the full moon that was on that day – sounds quite pagan. i don’t celebrate easter because it’s based on lunar phases, this is even worse because it’s based on lunar phases and they haven’t even tried to tie in Jesus through lies about chocolate eggs and fluffy bunnychickens.
It was on this evening that i met the Christian Union at DMU for the first time. it was wonderful to finally be in the presence of other Christians, however, it meant meeting even more people called ‘Matt’ and now i might just assume* everybody is called Matt from now on. at the CU we went and got N00dles from the n00dle bar, i had ‘chicken fried pasta’ it tasted liek pasta and fried chicken, i was sad because i should have seen that coming 🙁 . then Matt the president of the CU was liek, we’re done now lets go clubbing – and i lost all respect for the CU because Christians should not be flowing with the ways of the world, but with the ways of Yahweh our one Lord and Saviour. (Paul Washer on being with the world: link)
*i would also liek to try assuming that everybody i meet is Christian, and that every girl i meet has a boyfriend – that way i’d be more comfortable talking to new people. however, i struggle, so it’s just a blind ideal for now.
